MILLENNIUM WRESTLING FEDERATION'S NORTH CAROLINA DEBUT
Saturday, November 20th, 2010 * 12:56AM
The Millennium Wrestling Federation’s North Carolina debut TALK TRASH GET BASHED November 13th, 2010 in Pembroke, NC will go down in the record books as one of the most historic night's in the MWF’s nine plus years. The excitement of branching outside of New England was nothing compared to that of the 800 rabid fans on hand, making it the largest live event crowd in MWF history.
Psycho “Stalker” Dylan Kage, hated villain in New England after years of brutal, vicious attacks, received a Steve Austin-like reaction in front of his hometown fans. With manager Paul Bearer (who at the same time was guiding WWE World Champion Kane on Smackdown), Kage defeated “Infamous Icon” Joey Silvia in the tournament finals to crown the first MWF Southern Heavyweight Champion. Kage is also the MWF’s longest reigning Heavyweight Champion, defeating “Slyck” Wagner Brown when the championship was held up in October 2003 on the first episode of MWF ULTRA, holding it almost four years before losing it to Todd Hanson in August 2007 at the main event of SOUL SURVIVOR IV in Somerville, MA. President John Cena Sr. presented Kage with the championship post-match, only to be attacked by Silvia. Kage’s shocking NC response sent shockwaves through the MWF in Boston, as many staff members were hoping for Kage’s arrest if enough legal evidence into his “stalker” attacks came to light. No matter how you look at it, Kage is one of the greatest superstars to ever compete in the MWF, debuting in the company’s first year of operation in 2001.
November 13th is the unfortunate anniversary of “Boston Bad Boy” Tony Rumble’s passing, but without a doubt, the BBB made the journey south in spirit as the MWF took over the land of the Lumbee Indian tribe for a weekend, all while supporting the Pembroke Rescue Squad! We look forward to expanding our North Carolina operations in the months and years to come.
